After Apple introduced beta version of iOS7 couple of days ago, it has definitely caused a stir in the designer’s community. Artists was divided into those who still believe in Jony Ive’s designs and wait for final iOS in the fall, and those who, to put it mildly, does not very satisfied with redesign.
It is definitely double-edged sword. Without doubts new iOS has its own flaws, especially when it comes to basic icons. Nevertheless may be just give it a chance since overall appearance is really elegant and stylish. Sleek and neat lines of flat style and subtle backgrounds are doing their job very well.
As all we know, from time to time every new product or update sometimes obey the rule “everyone hates everything in the beginning”, so may be we just need to bide our time and eventually we will embrace its new interface.
